Mobilemarking, the developer of a unique stainless steel color patterning method, has received nearly €1 million in funding from the venture capital fund VNT Management and Finnvera.
“With this funding we can take our innovation to global markets. In addition, we are planning to recruit experienced sales professionals to support our expansion to new markets”, commented Niko Karsikas, founder and CEO of Mobilemarking.
Founded in 2010, Mobilemarking manufactures, sells and offers accompanying services for a unique color patterning laser technology. The technology is based on a patented method, which allows imprinting a wide range of patterns on almost any type of material without any additives or colorings. Mobilemarking is a pioneer in dyeing and imprinting free patterns like color images on stainless steel surfaces.
Mobilemarking’s unique technology offers a competitive advantage to its principal customers: companies that work with stainless steel products. Applications of the technology include high-quality branded products, industrial elements, interior decoration items and household appliances.
"We invest in promising Cleantech companies where we see significant opportunities for growth. Mobilemarking’s technical innovation makes it a true first-mover globally. We believe that this plus the company’s innovative business model give it a great basis for international success”, commented VNT Management’s Chairman of the Board Jarmo Saaranen, who also joined Mobilemarking as the Chairman of the Board.
VNT Management’s investment came from Power Fund III, which includes investors like the European Investment Fund, Finland’s Industry Investment, Growth Companies Fund (Kasvurahastojen Rahasto) and mutual pension insurance company Varma.
